The Centre for Hydrogen and E-Mobility Bozen/Bolzano

H2-Centre by IIT

Storing renewable energy in the form of hydrogen and using it as fuel "made in South Tyrol" for emission-free vehicles is one of the goals of the H2-South Tyrol project. For this purpose, - in close cooperation with the Brenner motorway and through financing from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) - the Hydrogen Centre was built in Bolzano South.

Technical info production:

In the Bolzano production facility, three modular electrolysis systems can generate up to 180 Nm3 (standard cubic meters = m3 at 15 ° C) hydrogen per hour. This gaseous and compressed hydrogen can be used to supply up to 15 city buses (200-250 km daily) or up to 700 cars. Filling systems for cylinder racks and trailers are already planned.
