Across the Dolomites, noise-free but powerful: on 13 and 14 September electric mobility was the focus of the ECOdolomites weekend in the Gröden Valley and Alta Badia. Silent, exhaust-free yet with plenty of power, quiet electric-powered vehicles cruised over the Dolomite passes and around the famous Sella massif.
The route extended over 77 kilometres, with a total climb of 2400 metres, from St. Ulrich over the Sella, Pordoi, Campolongo and Gröden passes then back to the start.
The challenge was also the point of the exercise: to have fun in the great outdoors, all with environmentally-friendly, low energy consumption.
For the first time three fuel cell cars participated, including one run by the Loacker company which had leased one of the ten Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell cars.
